Something Extremely Intriguing About "Illuminati"

I know that the Illuminati have been very mysterious and that there are a huge list of conspiracy theories about them.  Well, let's just add this little tidbit to the mix.

Here is a picture.

Conspiracy Theories. Are We Part Of Them? Are They The Real Truth?

We Are All Conspiracy Theorists Now: The Mainstreaming of 9/11 Truth

“Our leaders do not control the tides of history — they are just surfing them. They are doing their best to keep on top of them. They do not make the tides — the tides of history come from a million different vectors: our advancing technology, our advancing worldview. These are the things that actually make a difference to the flow of history, and our leaders try to sit on top of it, and perhaps try to give the impression that they are controlling it, but history’s history. Time and tide — they don’t pay much attention to any human leader.” – Alan Moore. This is quote is from Professor Sean Carney’s essay, “The Tides of History: Alan Moore’s Historiographic Vision.”
Although 9/11 truth is still a red line in mainstream Western political discourse, the boundaries of discussion about the attacks are harder to enforce in the global alternative media, whose positive influence on public debate is rapidly expanding.
The global 9/11 truth and justice movement is not going away because it is based in reality and history. One of these days, it will become politically safe for mainstream organizations, journalists, and politicians to demand a new international investigation into the tragic events of September 11, 2001.
Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth is one of the organizations that is leading the charge in educating the global public about the scientific evidence behind the 9/11 truth and accountability movement. Its founder Richard Gage is currently on a lecture tour in Canada. He was recently interviewed by Victoria Handysides of Canada’s Here Magazine. Here is an excerpt from her article called, “Truther disputes 9-11 attack”:
Gage and his supporters don’t consider themselves conspiracy theorists. They don’t claim to know why alleged demolitions were orchestrated or by who, and their findings are based on technical data and tangible evidence.
“We’ll let the chips fall where they may,” he said.
The group’s evidence has been largely ignored by congress and mass media, which leads Gage to believe that the U.S. government “has something to hide.”
The issue isn’t just an American one, Gage says. He’s calling on Canadians to sign a petition that his group will submit to Canadian parliament, asking for a full investigation of 9/11 considering their findings.
“Canadians were also manipulated into war based on the falsified event known as 9-11, which was designed, apparently, to manipulate the people to invade Afghanistan and ultimately Iraq,” he said. “…All are affected by the state of permanent war, known as the ‘War on Terror’ as a result.”
The Canadian petition that Gage referred to in the article was started by 911 Justice Canada. Here is an excerpt from the mission statement on its website:
“Our mission is to achieve a new and truly independent investigation surrounding the events of September 11th (9/11 events), through an international partnership.
Canada and the United States have a long history of partnerships in times of war and peace. Canada has its own origin and history which give unique strength to our politics and national identity. Through the new 9/11 Justice Canada, we will share our strength and resources to assist our American partners with their important goals regarding scientific evidence about the 9/11 events. Equally, Canadians will finally be able to understand and grapple with what happened on September 11th and how 24 of its citizens were killed. Concerned citizens and all political parties will benefit greatly from the enormous body of scientific research organized by a group supported by over 1600 professional architects & engineers who are calling for a new investigation into what exactly happened at the World Trade Center on 9/11.”
The democratic force of civil society as symbolized by Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and 911 Justice Canada has been suppressed with all means possible by the governments of America, Israel, Canada, England, France, other governments, and the United Nations. We also know for certain that there has been a systematic subversion and depoliticization of global civil society by the fascist U.S. National Security State and its criminal partners in Israel and around the world.
Most of the rank and file of the left in North America and the West are silent on the subject of 9/11 because they blindly follow their leaders, who are keeping them in the dark. The most dangerous and anti-democratic rhetorical tool of thought control is the blanket label of “conspiracy theory.” This thought-killing label is repeated in the mainstream chorus in the ongoing political drama known as history.
The mainstream chorus is anti-reality, anti-truth, anti-debate, anti-democracy, anti-freedom, and anti-humanity. It acts as a mass spell over the populations of America, Israel, and the Western world. The lyrics and labels in the mainstream chorus such as “9/11 was an outside job, you are just a conspiracy theorist,” are based on pure fantasy and written by evil tyrants who believe America, the Middle East, and the whole world belongs to them.
The purpose of the mainstream chorus in Western society is to hypnotize the people, and push evil events like 9/11 and 7/7 that were committed by American, British, and Israeli secret intelligence agencies to the sidelines of politically acceptable public discourse. According to the mainstream chorus, only the crazies and paranoid freaks congregate to the field outside of the mainstream, where they espouse deranged conspiracy theories because of their mental imbalance and fragile psyche.
But, by now, most of us know that the deceptive mainstream chorus is complete baloney. It is being listened to by fewer and fewer people. Their ears are no longer held hostage by the government sorcerers and voodoo media pundits who repeat the mainstream chorus whenever the subject of 9/11 truth is brought up for discussion and debate.
The mainstreaming of 9/11 truth cannot be stopped. It is part of a larger spiritual, cultural, and political awakening that is leading to individual empowerment and peaceful, democratic change in America, Israel, and the Western world. And this global awakening is totally spontaneous and uncontrollable by autocratic Western governments.
As the writer Alan Moore said, “Our leaders do not control the tides of history — they are just surfing them.” History is bigger than any conspiracy theory, or political cabal. The truth about the false flag 9/11 attacks cannot be suppressed, silenced, and ridiculed out of existence. To even attempt it shows how delusional and insane our governments really are. It is like blocking out the sun and replacing its natural sunshine with the artificial light of an Empire. It is absolutely crazy.
As the dark truth about 9/11 enters mainstream consciousness, sanity will be restored in our countries and also in our personal lives. At a certain point in the near future, we will all identify ourselves as conspiracy theorists because it is now identified with truth-telling and free-thinking. So, do not be ashamed to call yourself a conspiracy theorist or a 9/11 truther. Embrace it.

A Radical Rethinking of Conspiracy Theories Is Underway Globally

You Can Laugh At 9/11 Truth-Tellers Till Kingdom Come. But You Can’t Destroy The Truth About 9/11.
“Consciousness has been left at the door.” – Michael Tsarion.
“The world is all the richer for having a devil in it, so long as we keep our foot upon his neck.” – William James.
“Like the Gutenberg Press before it, the Internet Reformation is undermining the established myths that Western elites have concocted in their efforts to create a New World Order. We like to think that the Daily Bell is one modest example.” – The Daily Bell.
“But our present “state” is the dictatorship of evil. “Oh, we’ve known that for a long time,” I hear you object, “and it isn’t necessary to bring that to our attention again.” But, I ask you, if you know that, why do you not bestir yourselves, why do you allow these men who are in power to rob you step by step, openly and in secret, of one domain of your rights after another, until one day nothing, nothing at all will be left but a mechanized state system presided over by criminals and drunks? Is your spirit already so crushed by abuse that you forget it is your right – or rather, your moral duty – to eliminate this system? But if a man no longer can summon the strength to demand his right, then it is absolutely certain that he will perish. We would deserve to be dispersed through the earth like dust before the wind if we do not muster our powers at this late hour and finally find the courage which up to now we have lacked. Do not hide your cowardice behind a cloak of expediency, for with every new day that you hesitate, failing to oppose this offspring of Hell, your guilt, as in a parabolic curve, grows higher and higher.” – The White Rose, The Third Leaflet.
The language of the enemy contains terms like ‘conspiracy theorist’ that are a direct attack on the freedom of thought and insult the intelligence of civil society. We must counter-attack the totalitarian assault on our minds with the conscious use of language: the language of resistance.
You can either embrace the term conspiracy theorist and psychologically flip the language of the enemy to serve freedom, or you can use the language of the resistance, in which the smear term conspiracy theorist is dropped and replaced with the respectable term informed citizen.
We have to be ever mindful of language, especially when it is used to discredit political speech. Language conditions our thought, shapes our outlook, and defines our worldview.
In Islamist language, “infidel” is a perfect example of how one word can limit our understanding of other cultures and our recognition of the worth of other human beings who do not look like us, think like us, and worship like us. In Western language, “conspiracy theorist” is used by government officials, politicians, and the establishment media to turn dissent into paranoia, and truth-telling into a product of mental illness.
Every totalitarian state and cult leader in history has utilized the power of language to set the parameters of thought and public debate. As conscious citizens, we cannot allow language to be diluted, deformed, and debased by the state, politicians, and the establishment media. Once our language goes, so goes our consciousness and our freedoms.
What is needed is a reexamination of the use of the term conspiracy theory and Western political language in general. By restoring the independence of language and removing the parameters of debate set by the totalitarian state, our brainwashed countries will regain the freedom of thought that must be at the core of any free and dignified society.
A radical rethinking of conspiracy theories is already underway globally. Mark Fenster, a professor of law at the University of Florida, argued that there needs to be a rethinking of conspiracy theories in his book, “Conspiracy Theories: Secrecy and Power in American Culture.” In an interview with the journal Rorotoko on January 20, 2009, Fenster explained why he wrote the book, saying:
“First, I argue that the dominant mode of understanding conspiracy theory is flawed. Academics and journalists have wrongly assumed that conspiracy theories are necessarily a pathological cry from the political and social margins. The notion that they and their adherents are “paranoid” is most frequently associated today with the work of Richard Hofstadter, a preeminent American historian in the 1950s and 1960s, who placed conspiracy theories within what he called the “paranoid style in American politics.” Viewed this way, a conspiracy theory is symptomatic of a larger sickness from which the believers suffer, caused in part by their marginal position within society. Conspiracy theories are more complex than this simple story tells—historically, politically, and culturally. They have played a key or at least non-trivial role in many of the social movements throughout American history, from the beginnings of the Republic to the present day. Moreover, conspiracy theories remain remarkably popular. In the political world, politicians and partisans disparage their opponents’ beliefs as conspiracy theory while they maintain that those same opponents are engaged in conspiratorial acts. Do I even need to give examples of how widespread conspiracy theories are in popular culture? Or how in our private conversations we frequently describe dealings in the workplace or in the political world as conspiratorial, whether in jest or in all seriousness? The book’s first claim, then, is critical: we need to rethink the basic conceptual framework by which we understand conspiracy theories.”
In the interview, Professor Fenster said that he doesn’t believe in 9/11 conspiracy theories. Although that’s disappointing, his research and knowledge shouldn’t be dismissed out of hand just because he doesn’t find any merit in the argument that the governments of the U.S. and Israel carried out the 9/11 attacks.
Those of us who have looked at the evidence that’s been gathered by 9/11 truth activists know that U.S. and Israeli officials are sitting on dynamite and keeping the world in the dark. These officials, in cooperation with the establishment media, are waging a sustained and multifaceted psychological war against the global mind, and especially the Western mind.

The Internet is like Zeus’s lightning bolt. It has awakened the globe. The people of the planet have been de-brainwashed thanks to the work done by 9/11 truth-tellers, researchers, authors, activists, lecturers, and groups like Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth.
The Pentagon committed the biggest mistake in its history by deciding to cold-bloodedly kill 3,000 innocent Americans and then use the tragedy to galvanize the American people to take over the world at the behest of evil banksters, war corporations, and Israel.
The military-industrial complex’s war on human consciousness and human enlightenment is failing big time. The global alternative media has exposed its crimes against humanity, especially the two biggest ones: aggressive war and state terrorism.
Washington’s empire of mind control is collapsing.
A recent New York Times/CBS News poll showed that 70 percent of the American people want the government to immediately bring an end to the war in Afghanistan. That number will increase to 99 percent once more people become aware of the evidence that proves the U.S. and Israeli governments orchestrated the 9/11 attacks to mobilize international public opinion to support their radical policies in the Middle East.
9/11 truth conferences like the Toronto Hearings that took place in September 2011 have brought mainstream credibility to the global 9/11 truth and accountability movement. The strength of this movement is that it is educational in nature and not connected to any political party, group, ideology, or cause. And it should remain that way.
9/11 truth-tellers are part of a global grassroots campaign to educate the world about the biggest act of state terrorism in human history, and raise collective human consciousness in the process.
Award-winning Canadian journalist Barrie Zwicker said in 2009 that, “the worldwide 9/11 truth movement is currently the largest investigative journalism project on the planet.”
The global 9/11 truth and accountability movement is not about politics and ideology. It is about restoring the rule of law, public trust in government, and government transparency in America, Israel, and the West.
Victory is more than possible. It is inevitable.

List of conspiracy theories

The list of conspiracy theories is a collection of the most popular unproven theories related but not limited to clandestine government plans, elaborate murder plots, suppression of secret technology and knowledge, and other supposed schemes behind certain political, cultural, and historical events. They did not have any link to the actual incidents. Some theories are meant to cover up the accusers' own schemes, such as Holocaust denial. Most of them are imaginary works of some people.
Conspiracy theories usually go against a consensus or cannot be proven using the historical method and are typically not considered to be similar to verified conspiracies such as Germany's pretense for invading Poland in World War II.

New World Order

"We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order."
The concept of this shadow government predates 1990; it is accused of being the same group of people who, among other things, created the Federal Reserve Act (1913), supported the Bolshevik Revolution (1917), and supported the rise of the Nazi Party in Germany, all for their own agenda....
Many conspiracy theorists believe that Denver International Airport is the western U.S. headquarters of the New World Order, and a massive underground base and city is believed to exist underneath the airport. ....

Federal Reserve System

The New World Order is said to control the wealth of nations through central banks, via the issuance of currency. ....

False flag operations

False flag operations are covert operations conducted by governments, corporations, or other organizations, which are designed to appear as if they are being carried out by other entities. Numerous conspiracy theories have developed suggesting that false flag operations have been carried out throughout the 20th century, and the secrecy of the true nature of the events have been maintained by successful cover-ups. ....

Wars

The motivations for nations starting, entering, or ending wars are often brought into question by conspiracy theorists. Munitions suppliers are often blamed for devising, coordinating and precipitating the events that lead nations into war, either in part or in toto. According to this view, there is always a party within a nation that benefits from war, on whatever pretext: the suppliers of weapons and other military material. ...
A war planned for economic gain can be seen as a conspiracy in the conventional sense of a secret plot—particularly when the public is presented with false pretexts for war. It has also been suggested that war is a perfect way of distracting citizens, as an electoral tactic, from difficulties facing the current government. This premise is the basis of the film Wag the Dog, and the George Orwell novel 1984. ...
In many cases, critics have accused the U.S. of engaging in realpolitik in the cynical sense of political action without regard for principle or morals. In recent times, wars in the Middle East such as the Gulf War and the invasion of Iraq have been described as wars for oil, as well as power, money and land.

Coups d'état

Governments, including the United States government, have been accused of carrying out coups d'état, in order to install friendly governments in foreign countries. ....

Assassinations and other deaths

Conspiracy theories sometimes emerge following assassinations of prominent people. The best known is the assassination of John F. Kennedy (1963), which has caused a number of conspiracy theories to develop. Central to this theory is the claim that the injuries received by Kennedy and Governor John Connally could not have been caused by a lone gunman behind the motorcade and to the right. This theory was popularised by the Oliver Stone movie, JFK. ...
The question of "Who benefits?" is also often asked, with conspiracy theorists asserting that insiders often have far more powerful motives than those to whom the assassination is attributed by mainstream society. ...
....
Other examples of deaths that are not considered to be murders that later receive conpiracy theories include: the suicide of Deputy White House Counsel Vincent Foster; the plane crash that killed United States Secretary of Commerce Ron Brown; the death of Dag Hammarskjöld; the Mayerling Incident; and the deaths of U.S. Presidents Zachary Taylor and Lyndon B. Johnson, Władysław Sikorski, James Forrestal, British political leader Hugh Gaitskell, Australian prime minister Harold Holt, James P. Brady, New Zealand prime minister Norman Kirk, Jimmy Hoffa and David Kelly. ....

There are also theories that some assassination attempts have been carried out by secret conspiracies, in some cases failures but in other cases entirely staged events. The motive for staging an unsuccessful assassination attempt can be to augment the popularity of the person involved; public opinion polls tend to be boosted by unsuccessful attempts on the life of a prominent politician. ...
....

US Presidency

Clinton Body Count

The Clinton Body Count, as it is popularly known, is a conspiracy theory that Bill Clinton, while he was president and before, was quietly assassinating his associates (ostensibly anyone who got in the way of his career, such as Vince Foster). ...

Barack Obama birth conspiracy theories

A closely related cluster of conspiracy theories are associated with the 44th President, Barack Obama, the first President of African descent, who was born in Honolulu in 1961 to a Kenyan father and a mother from Wichita.  ...

Ethnicity, race and religion

Jewish conspiracy theories

Armenian International Conspiracy

"Babylon" and racist oppression

Eurabia

Arab-fascist axis

Baha'i

Apocalyptic prophecies

Apocalyptic prophecies, particularly Christian apocalyptic and eschatalogical claims about the end times, the Last Judgment, and the end of the world have inspired a range of conspiracy theories. ....

Bible conspiracy theory

Catholicism as a veiled continuation of Babylonian paganism

Technology and weapons

suppression of technologies

Development of weapons technology

Weapons testing

Surveillance, espionage and intelligence agencies

Particular technologies of surveillance and control arouse concern that has bordered upon, or crossed over into, conspiracy theory. These are technologies being developed by governments which are intended to intrude into the privacy or harm the persons of citizens, particularly dissenters. Conspiracy theories of this sort cast government agencies as pursuing vast technical powers in order to spy on people, control their minds, or otherwise suppress an alienated populace. ...

Media

DTV Transition

Some theorists claim that forced transition to digital television broadcasting is practical realization of "Big Brother" concept. They claim that miniature cameras and microphones are built into set-top boxes and newer TV sets to spy on people. Another claim describes use of mind control technology that would be hidden in the digital signal and used to subvert the mind and feelings of the people and for subliminal advertising.

Medicine

The subject of suppressed-invention conspiracy also touches on the realm of medical quackery: proponents of more unlikely forms of alternative medicine are known to allege conspiracy by mainstream doctors to suppress their cures. Such conspiracies are often said to include government regulators, to the extent that a legal decision may be relevant. ...

Drug legalization

Some activists and spokespersons for legalization of drugs (especially marijuana) have long espoused a theory that government and private industry conspired during the first half of the 20th century to outlaw hemp, allegedly so that it would no longer provide inexpensive competition to pulp paper and synthetic materials....

Diet

This type of theory posits that, with the help of the food industry and the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the medical industry is generating billions in drug and treatment revenue from consumers who have become unhealthy as a result of poor or incomplete diet guidelines from the FDA. ...

Creation of diseases

There are claims that AIDS is a human-made disease (i.e., created by scientists in a laboratory). Some of these theories allege that HIV was created by a conspiratorial group or by a secretive agency such as the CIA. It is thought to have been created as a tool of genocide and/or population control. Other theories suggest that the virus was created as an experiment in biological and/or psychological warfare, and then escaped into the population at large by accident. Some who believe that HIV was a government creation see a precedent for it in the Tuskegee syphilis study, in which government-funded researchers deceptively denied treatment to black patients infected with a sexually transmitted disease.
...

Water fluoridation

Water fluoridation is the controlled addition of fluoride to a public water supply to reduce tooth decay.  Although almost all major health and dental organizations support water fluoridation, or have found no association with adverse effects, efforts to introduce water fluoridation meet considerable opposition whenever it is proposed.   Since fluoridation's inception in the 1950s, opponents have drawn on distrust of experts and unease about medicine and science.  Conspiracy theories involving fluoridation are common,...

Traditional, natural and alternative medicines

Peak oil

There are theories that the "peak oil" concept is a fraud concocted by the oil industries to increase prices amid concerns about future supplies. The oil industry is aware of vast reserves of untapped oil, according to these theories, but it deliberately refuses to utilize them in order to maintain the illusion of scarcity.

Real groups said to be involved in conspiracies

The past or present existence of these groups is not disputed, and a variety of theories regarding hidden plots and/or agendas actively guarded from the general public have been proposed. There is dispute as to whether any of these theories are true.
  • 1001 Club
  • Bilderberg Group
  • Bohemian Grove
  • Committee of 300
  • Council on Foreign Relations
  • Freemasonry
  • The Illuminati—Thought of as a secret group attempting to control the world.
  • Le Cercle
  • Opus Dei -
  • AND MORE

Alleged groups associated with conspiracy theories

These groups are often discussed in conspiracy theories, however their existence is disputed:
  • Majestic 12

Paranormal activity

Extraterrestrials

Rupert Murdoch and The Number 13. Power Tower Tumbling Down?

Is Rupert Murdoch losing his powerful influence?  Here is a rundown of the power that he has held and gained to this point, as well as the use of his power that may have him tumbling down his great media empire Mount Everest.

First, Rupert Murdoch began his style of acquisitions and expansions of his power back in 1953 by purchasing the Sunday Times in Perth, Australia.  Not much later, he acquired newspapers in many areas, including The Daily Mirror and also acquired a small records company called Festival Records.  He followed that with the purchase of The Dominion.  This was just the beginning of his additions to his powerful empire.

It wasn't long before he started to get involved in shaping politics and events.
"During the 1980s and early 1990s, Murdoch's publications were generally supportive of Britain's Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.[8] At the end of the Thatcher/Major era, Murdoch switched his support to the Labour Party and its leader, Tony Blair. The closeness of his relationship with Blair and their secret meetings to discuss national policies was to become a political issue in Britain.[9] Though this later started to change, with The Sun publicly renouncing the ruling Labour government and lending its support to David Cameron's Conservative Party, which soon after came to form a coalition government. Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown's official spokesman said in November 2009 that Brown and Murdoch "were in regular communication" and that "there is nothing unusual in the prime minister talking to Rupert Murdoch"." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rupert_Murdoch

If you didn't already know this, Rupert Murdoch has owned Sky Television.  This is a huge satellite television network that merged with British Satellite Broadcasting in 1990.
Rupert Murdoch has made many acquisitions throughout the years in the United States, including Fox Network.  Murdoch acquired Dow Jones in 2007.  If that doesn't say powerful (or power-hungry) I don't know what does.
Here is a link to a list of assets owned by Murdoch and News Corp.
Did you know that this phone hacking scandal actually started in 2006?
"Starting in 2006, there were allegations that individuals working for the News of the World, a now-defunct British tabloid newspaper published by News International—a subsidiary of Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation—had engaged in phone hacking. The scandal came to prominence in the midst of an attempted takeover of British Sky Broadcasting by News Corporation, which was forced to abandon the acquisition.[26] While the original allegations were limited to the hacking of celebrities, politicians and members of the British Royal Family, further allegations that victims of the phone hacking included murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler, relatives of deceased British soldiers, and victims of the 7/7 London bombings generated widespread public outrage in the United Kingdom. The News of the World published its final edition on 10 July 2011 after 168 years of publication.[26]

On 6 July 2011, British prime minister David Cameron declared that a public government inquiry would convene to investigate the affair, once police inquiries had been completed. On 13 July, Cameron named Lord Justice Leveson as chairman of the inquiry, with a remit to look into the specific claims about phone hacking and police bribery by the News of the World, while a separate inquiry would consider the culture and ethics of the British media.[27] He also said the Press Complaints Commission would be replaced "entirely".[26]
The scandal attracted attention in the United States, where News Corporation is headquartered and operates a multitude of media outlets. On 15 July, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder confirmed that the Department of Justice was following up calls for an investigation into the company." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rupert_Murdoch
Perhaps 2006 was the year when things seemed to begin to unravel...

The PM, the mogul and the secret agenda

Tony Blair flies to California this week to address the annual get-together of News Corporation - led by one Rupert Murdoch. From Europe to broadcasting, terrorism to the direction of the nation, what is the truth about one of the most intriguing relationships in British public life?
...the guests checking in next weekend - globetrotting politicians, hotshot analysts and senior executives from Rupert Murdoch's mighty News Corporation - are not here to relax. They will gather for one of the media empire's legendary conferences, an intellectual beauty parade before one of the most powerful men on the planet.

Careers will be made and broken this weekend, millions staked or withheld.

The man described by a Downing Street spin doctor as the hidden member of Tony Blair's cabinet is looking to the future: and the decisions Murdoch makes could change the way you read, watch, consume and, perhaps, even vote.

Which is why Blair is going.
The fortunes of New Labour and News Corp have always been entwined, but just how closely is now emerging. The Observer can reveal the extraordinary efforts Blair and Murdoch make to conceal their relationship, even arranging clandestine meetings abroad because the tycoon regarded Downing Street as too public. Also clear for the first time is the belief among senior aides that Blair would have held a referendum on the euro had it not been for the Eurosceptic Murdoch newspapers.
It can also be disclosed that News International's latest lobbying offensive is against the BBC's bid for a significant rise in its licence fee. Murdoch fears the above-inflation increase would give the corporation an unfair advantage in developing new markets.
"On 8 May 2006, the Financial Times reported that Murdoch would be hosting a fund-raiser for Senator Hillary Clinton's (D-New York) Senate re-election campaign." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rupert_Murdoch
In 2007, News Corp had a representative, Andrew Knight, present at the annual Bilderberg Group Meeting.  Looking back to a post I wrote on the topic of Murdoch and secret societies, you can read more about that topic on this link.  Click Link Here
Regarding whether Rupert Murdoch has shaped the opinions of people on a global scale regarding politics and other agendas, here is just one snippet that may answer that question for you.
"In a 2008 interview with Walt Mossberg, Murdoch was asked whether he had "anything to do with the New York Post's endorsement of Barack Obama in the democratic primaries." Without hesitating, Murdoch replied, "Yeah. He is a rock star. It's fantastic. I love what he is saying about education. I don't think he will win Florida... but he will win in Ohio and the election. I am anxious to meet him. I want to see if he will walk the walk."
..."In August 2008 British Conservative leader and future Prime Minister David Cameron accepted free flights to hold private talks and attend private parties with Murdoch on his yacht, the Rosehearty.[57] Cameron has declared in the Commons register of interests he accepted a private plane provided by Murdoch's son-in-law, public relations guru Matthew Freud; Cameron has not revealed his talks with Murdoch. The gift of travel in Freud's Gulfstream IV private jet was valued at around £30,000. Other guests attending the "social events" included the then EU trade commissioner Lord Mandelson, the Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska and co-chairman of NBC Universal Ben Silverman. The Conservatives have not disclosed what was discussed.[58]
In July 2011 it emerged that Cameron met key executives of Murdoch's News Corporation 26 times during the 14 months that Cameron had served as Prime Minister.[59] It was also reported that Murdoch had given Cameron a personal guarantee that there would be no risk attached to hiring the ex-editor of the News of the World Andy Coulson as the Conservative Party's communication director in 2007.[60] This was in spite of Coulson having resigned as editor over phone hacking by a reporter. Cameron chose to take Murdoch's advice, despite warnings from Nick Clegg, Lord Ashdown and The Guardian.[61] Coulson resigned his post in 2011 and was later arrested and questioned on allegations of further criminal activity at The News of the World."
Of course, Murdoch, being such a power player on a global scale, has representation within the most elite circles.  The Bilderberg Group, for instance.  He has had both Conrad Black and Andrew Stephen Bower Knight present at their annual meetings.
Of course, if you look at the criminal past of Conrad Black, you don't wonder why he says this...
"Murdoch, just like Napoleon, is a great bad man" http://www.businessday.co.za/articles/Content.aspx?id=148482

Rupert Murdoch is currently on the membership roster for the Council on Foreign Relations, better known as CFR.  http://www.cfr.org/about/membership/roster.html?letter=M

Rupert Murdoch has been represented on the Trilateral Commission as well.  http://www.trilateral.org/download/file/TC_list_7-11_rev__(2).pdf

Yes, Rupert Murdoch has been enormously powerful.  Actually, he has too much power for one man to handle...at least in his own, very large head.  Here are some of the egotistical things that he has said in recent years.

“We are in the midst of a phase of history in which nations will be redefined and their futures fundamentally altered,” wrote media mogul Rupert Murdoch in a recent memo to the management staff of News Corp, his global media empire, which includes Fox TV.
The provocative sentence is lodged within a long memorandum announcing the departure of the company’s longtime president and chief operating officer Peter Chernin as well as an upbeat pep talk about News Corps’ acquisitions and its plans for future growth in a world market where other media organizations will be retreating. Murdoch notes that News Corp is in a very enviable position, with $5 billion cash on hand and $3.5 billion in annual revenues."

Rupert Murdoch's killer quarter has emboldened him, and his plans to charge for his content.
Speaking on the company's earnings call, he said "Content isn't just King, it's the Emperor of all things electronic."
He added later, without content the world's large flat screens, e-readers, and tablets would be "unloved and unsold."
Rupert, likely referring to the iPad, said it would be "merely an empty vessel" without content. It is not "powered by batteries," it is powered by great content.
He also mentioned that he's working on subscription deals with device makers, as this quarter proved that consumers are willing to pay for content.
To people that think content wants to be free, Rupert replies, "It sounds like B.S. to me!"

Of course, you already know the newest regarding the Hacking Scandal and Rupert Murdoch.  Here is an update in the case you haven't read the newest in today's news on this political and media scandal.

London police feel the heat in UK hacking scandal

Updated 02:03 p.m., Monday, July 18, 2011

LONDON (AP) — Britain's tabloid phone hacking scandal walloped the London police force Monday, as the rapid-fire resignations of two top officers were followed by claims of possible illegal eavesdropping, bribery and collusion. U.K officials immediately vowed to investigate.

Prime Minister David Cameron, feeling the political heat from his own close ties to Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. media empire, cut short his trip to Africa and called an emergency session of Parliament for Wednesday so he could address lawmakers on the scandal.

The crisis has triggered upheaval in the upper ranks of Britain's police. Monday's resignation of Assistant Commissioner John Yates — Scotland Yard's top anti-terrorist officer — followed that Sunday of police chief Paul Stephenson — both for links to an arrested former executive from Murdoch's shuttered News of the World tabloid.

The high-profile resignations came on the eve of a highly anticipated televised public grilling of Murdoch and his son James by U.K. lawmakers.

The scandal over Murdoch journalists hacking into cell phones for scoops and paying police for information has taken down top police and media figures with breathtaking speed and knocked billions off the value of Murdoch's News Corp. The media baron was already forced to shut down the 168-year-old News of the World tabloid, accept the resignations of top deputies in Britain and the U.S. and abandon his dream of taking full control of a lucrative satellite broadcaster, British Sky Broadcasting.
Britain's police watchdog on Monday said it had received allegations of potential wrongdoing in connection with phone hacking against four senior officers — Stephenson, Yates and two former senior officers. One of the claims is that Yates inappropriately helped get a job for the daughter of former News of the World editor, Neil Wallis, one of 10 people arrested in the scandal.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission said it was looking into the claims.

Yates insisted he had done nothing wrong. "I have acted with complete integrity," he said. "My conscience is clear."

But the government quickly announced an inquiry into police-media relations and corruption.

"Who polices the police?" asked Home Secretary Theresa May as she announced an inquiry into "instances of undue influence, inappropriate contractual arrangements and other abuses of power in police relationships with the media and other parties."

As more details emerged about ties between senior police and News Corp. figures, London's police force is under intense pressure to explain why its original hacking investigation failed to find evidence to prosecute anyone other than a single reporter and a private investigator.

Yates was the official who decided two years ago not to reopen police inquiries into phone hacking and police bribery by tabloid journalists, saying he did not believe there was any new evidence to consider.

Detectives reopened the investigation earlier this year and now say they have the names of 3,700 potential hacking targets — celebrities, politicians, other journalists and even murder victims.

Cameron is under heavy pressure after the resignations of Stephenson and Yates, and Sunday's arrest of Murdoch executive Rebekah Brooks — a friend and neighbor whom he has met with at least six times since entering office 14 months ago.

Brooks was arrested on suspicion of hacking into the cell phones of celebrities, politicians and others in the news and bribing police for information to fuel sensational scoops for her gossipy tabloids.

Cameron's critics grew louder in London as the prime minister visited South Africa on a two-day visit to the continent. The trip was already cut in half by the crisis and Cameron trimmed another seven hours from his itinerary as his government faced growing questions about its cozy relationship with the Murdoch empire.
