Compare The Occupy Wall Street Flags To The Jihadist Flags.

DOES OCCUPY WALL STREET KNOW ITS FLAG LOOKS LIKE A JIHADIST BANNER?

  • Posted on September 16, 2012

Occupy Wall Street will be marking the one year anniversary of the movement on Monday, September 17th, with a series of direct actions and protest marches across lower Manhattan. It‘s anybody’s guess whether they will really do what they say they’re going to this time, but there are some disconcerting early signs.
I took a stroll through their General Assembly the Saturday before #S17, as they call it (using the twitter hashtag as a catch-all for the event) and saw the usual gathering of leftists, oddballs, and assorted Marxist wanna-be revolutionaries.
But something unusual caught my eye: take a look at the latest addition to the Occupy propaganda arsenal:

I saw a few of these black “Occupy” flags emblazoned with white writing in Washington Square Park. Below, you can see the “Occupy” flag held above the tactical General Assembly. Many of the facilitators (leaders) were familiar to me from last year, and this General Assembly was clearly a who’s who of the Occupy Movement in NYC.

To be fair, there have been black flags present in the Occupy movement before, and they were used by anarchist movements way back in the late 19th century. But these were different.
I have seen entirely black flags carried by members of the “Black Bloc” (a tactic, not a group, as those who employ it often point out) in the Occupy movement. And a large “A” with a circle around it is well-known as the anarchist’s calling card of choice.
But black flags with white writing?
It resembles a Jihadist flag.
Given the amount of preparation for the #S17 anniversary of the OWS Movement, one would expect Occupiers to have some  understanding of the imagery they use and how it will be viewed by the rest of the world.
While only hundreds may show up tomorrow, there are likely to be many reporters covering all the events. And I think some Americans may have the same reaction to the Occupy flag I did when it beams across their television screen.
Last week, Americans suffered through the horror of an assassinated U.S. Ambassador, with three other Americans killed at his side. These Americans were working for the consulate of a country that had been saved from threatened genocide and liberated from a tyrant by U.S. and NATO efforts.

Mere hours before those atrocities, a rampaging mob in Egypt attacked the U.S. Embassy in Cairo on the eleven year anniversary of 9/11. The rioters tore down and desecrated the American flag before raising up the black banner of Jihad (example above). Images of the Islamist black banners shot across the world in minutes.

You can see several of the Jihadist flags– including the Al Qaeda specific variant– in the photo at right, taken at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo. On top of the wall is the Al Qaeda version. You can see the more ornate script of the “Shahada,” which is an inscription often found on general use Islamist/Jihadist flags, at bottom right. The script contains the Islamic profession of faith, “there is no God but God, and Muhammad is his prophet.”
A bit of background: the black flag of the Islamist is taken from the “Black Banners of Khurasan,“ which are words found in a hadith about an Islamic army rising up from what is the roughly called the ”stans” area (Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, parts of Pakistan) and conquering their enemies in a sort of end of days scenario.
Defenders of Occupy Wall Street would no doubt claim that these similarities– white writing on a black background– are not an endorsement of Islamism and have nothing to do with Al Qaeda. Even if we take that as wholly true, it seems rather irresponsible and offensive to be marching around lower Manhattan with flags that could evoke the horrific events in North Africa from last week– not to mention even a vague similarity to Al Qaeda’s emblem.
It is also bears reminding that  Solidarity with Cairo and Tahrir square has been a hallmark of the Occupy Wall Street movement in the past. I sat and listened to Occupy speakers a year ago proclaim that the revolution sweeping the Arab Spring would soon come to America. It obviously hasn’t happened yet, but the Occupiers themselves drew the comparisons to Mid-East revolutions then.

We also know that a number of protestors in Cairo donned Guy Fawkes masks in what can only be described as an act of solidarity with the Occupy movement during their assault on the Embassy.
Occupy is a political movement, not a sports team. The choice of black symbols and imagery all has a purpose and context.
For a movement that has made “wealth inequality” its central theme, one would think that a nice baby blue flag with “spread the wealth” or “free love” on it would be a much more appropriate than what is–at best– an ominous anarchist flag that is perhaps evocative of a pirate’s Jolly Roger.
But of course, bringing the system down and “revolution” have always been part of the Occupiers’ stated goals, no matter how disconnected they are from reality. A black flag does well to represent such destructive ends.
Occupiers won’t get any closer to revolution by marching around Manhattan on #S17, but their decisions about imagery tell us they are either tone deaf to events in the world, or are willing to express subtle solidarity with radical, violent elements with which the United States remains at war.
After today’s #s17 events, perhaps we will have a better sense of which it is.

Nearly 150 arrested at Occupy protest on one-year anniversary

John Makely / NBC News
An arrest on Wall Street as Occupy protesters circulate through the financial district trying to disrupt business on Sept. 17.
NEW YORK, Updated at 4:00 p.m. ET -- Looking to reignite their movement on its one-year anniversary, several hundred Occupy Wall Street activists protested in lower Manhattan Monday, staging a sit-in near the iconic New York Stock Exchange and swarming through the streets in costumes and toting American flags and signs.

Police said 146 protesters were arrested, mostly for disorderly conduct. Earlier Monday, protester Michael Aaron said some religious leaders and dozens of others were arrested after sitting down in the street and on the sidewalk, blocking the thoroughfares.

"We're just at year one. We have a really big mountain to climb. But we're hoping to get the power back to the people," said Kim Fraczek, 37, who wore an Obama mask. She was with a man, Erik McGregor, 44, who had on a Romney one. They said they were aiming to show the two were controlled by money.

"In our bipartisan system, when the two candidates for presidency are doing everything to kneel down to the corporations and banks and turn against the people, it doesn't matter who you vote for, because the war machine will continue," said Fraczek, a handbag and jewelry designer.

The early morning protests and marches were marked by festive cheer, with demonstrators throwing confetti and glitter, carrying balloons and singing "happy birthday." But some protesters also reflected a more somber tone on the anniversary of the day when they set up a nearly two-month camp in nearby Zuccotti Park to protest against income inequality, corporate greed and money in politics.

The U.S. Is Conquering...

Cote d'Ivoire-Laurent "Gbagbo Must Stand Down Immediately"

Statement by the President on Cote d’Ivoire

I remain deeply concerned by the security situation in Cote d’Ivoire. I strongly support the role that United Nations peacekeepers are playing as they enforce their mandate to protect civilians, and I welcome the efforts of French forces who are supporting that mission. Tragically, the violence that we are seeing could have been averted had Laurent Gbagbo respected the results of last year’s presidential election. To end this violence and prevent more bloodshed, former President Gbagbo must stand down immediately, and direct those who are fighting on his behalf to lay down their arms. Every day that the fighting persists will bring more suffering, and further delay the future of peace and prosperity that the people of Cote D’Ivoire deserve.

The people of Cote D’Ivoire have suffered too much throughout this period of unrest. The United States joins with the international community in our deep concern about reports of massacres in the western region of the country, and the dangers faced by innocent civilians – particularly the most vulnerable. All parties must show restraint and respect the rights of the Ivorian people, and I welcome President Ouattara’s pledge to ensure accountability for those who have carried out attacks against civilians. Meanwhile, the United States will continue to support a future in which Laurent Gbagbo stands down, and President Outarra and the government of Cote D’Ivoire can move beyond this current crisis and serve all of the Ivorian people.

IRAQ

George Bush considered provoking a war with Saddam Hussein's regime by flying a United States spyplane over Iraq bearing UN colours, enticing the Iraqis to take a shot at it, according to a leaked memo of a meeting between the US President and Tony Blair.
The two leaders were worried by the lack of hard evidence that Saddam Hussein had broken UN resolutions, though privately they were convinced that he had. According to the memorandum, Mr Bush said: "The US was thinking of flying U2 reconnaissance aircraft with fighter cover over Iraq, painted in UN colours. If Saddam fired on them, he would be in breach."
He added: "It was also possible that a defector could be brought out who would give a public presentation about Saddam's WMD, and there was also a small possibility that Saddam would be assassinated." The memo damningly suggests the decision to invade Iraq had already been made when Mr Blair and the US President met in Washington on 31 January 2003 when the British Government was still working on

LIBYA

Statement by the President on Libya Sanctions

The Libyan government’s continued violation of human rights, brutalization of its people, and outrageous threats have rightly drawn the strong and broad condemnation of the international community. By any measure, Muammar el-Qaddafi’s government has violated international norms and common decency and must be held accountable.  These sanctions therefore target the Qaddafi government, while protecting the assets that belong to the people of Libya.

Going forward, the United States will continue to closely coordinate our actions with the international community, including our friends and allies, and the United Nations. We will stand steadfastly with the Libyan people in their demand for universal rights, and a government that is responsive to their aspirations. Their human dignity cannot be denied.

White House issues statement to decline comment on Libya development

t1main.bonney
WASHINGTON (CNN) – There are multiple reports out today that President Barack Obama has signed a "secret order" authorizing covert U.S. support for Libyan rebel forces.
According to Reuters:
Obama signed the order, known as a presidential "finding," within the last two or three weeks, according to four U.S. government sources familiar with the matter.
Such findings are a principal form of presidential directive used to authorize secret operations by the Central Intelligence Agency. This is a necessary legal step before such action can take place but does not mean that it will.
Meanwhile, ABC News is reporting that the finding doesn't "provide arms to the rebels immediately, although it does prepare for such a contingency and other contingencies should the president decide to go down that road in the future."
In response to questions by the press on the reports, the White House issued the following statement from Press Secretary Jay Carney:
As is common practice for this and all Administrations, I am not going to comment on intelligence matters. I will reiterate what the President said yesterday – no decision has been made about providing arms to the opposition or to any group in Libya. We’re not ruling it out or ruling it in. We’re assessing and reviewing options for all types of assistance that we could provide to the Libyan people, and have consulted directly with the opposition and our international partners about these matters.
While CNN has not confirmed that Obama signed such a finding, John King reports that there is a CIA presence in Libya to help with "military and political understanding," and is gathering intelligence first hand from some of the opposition entities.
JAPAN
Non-traditional Nuclear War in progress
On Sunday, Alfred Lambremont of Expolitics TV interviewed nuclear scientist Leuren Moret who explained that the recent earthquake and nuclear events in Japan were intentional and caused by military-grade high-tech weaponry equivalent to dropping a million nuclear bombs. HAARP weaponry triggered the earthquake in Japan, an applied Environmental Modification (ENMOD), silently and invisibly, appearing to be a “natural event.”
Moret is a geoscientist who worked at the Lawrence Livermore Nuclear Weapons Laboratory on the Yucca Mountain Project, and became a whistle-blower in 1991 by reporting science fraud on the project and at Livermore.
She is an independent and international radiation specialist, and the Environmental Commissioner in the city of Berkeley, California. Moret has visited Japan four times to work with Japanese citizens, scientists and elected officials on radiation and peace issues.
“Was there any pre-warning that this disaster could have taken place so that precautions could be in place?” ask many including Northerntruthseeker. (http://northerntruthseeker.blogspot.com/2011/03/fukushima-nuclear-disaster-japans.html)
As explained in Lambremont’s Expolitics interview, Leuren Moret warned people in 2004 in her article in the Japan Times that an impending disaster was in store for Japan if they did not change their nuclear power policies.
A series of earthquake attacks have occurred in various nations according to Lambremont who worked with Dennis Kucinich to ban this type of Environmental Modification weaponry.
ENMOD refers to any technique for changing – through deliberate manipulation of natural processes – the dynamics, composition or structure of the Earth, including its biota, lithosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere, or of outer space. (Convention on the Prohibition of Military or Any Other Hostile Use of Environmental Modification Techniques, United Nations, Geneva: 18 May 1977 cited in What are environmental modification techniques? Human Rights info 101, Dupre, Examiner, Dec. 6. 2009)
Japan’s earthquake was a military strike, a tectonic attack using HAARP weapon system secretly developed by the United States and Russia under the cover of defense according to Moret. (See: (Video) What is H.A.A.R.P.? Human Rights info 101, Dupré, D., Examiner, April 7, 2010)
The United States and Russia were secretly developing this for weaponry.
Evidence gathered by Moret indicates that the Japanese earthquake was a military attack using the secret sophisticated HAARP weaponry.
H.A.A.R.P. stands for High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program. It is a geophysical weapon that is so powerful, it is a geophysical weapon of mass destruction. It is only one among many of such installations across the globe’s superDARN Highway, the array of High Frequency (HF) radars that now cover most of the northern and southern hemispheres. This weapon has been a “secret” due to “national security.” (What is HHARP: Human Rights Info 101)
The United States H.A.A.R.P. is jointly funded by the US Air Force, the US Navy, the University of Alaska and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and is operates a major Arctic facility, known as the HAARP Research Station, on an Air Force owned site near Gakona, Alaska.
Following the devastating Haiti quake of 2010 that had hallmarks of HAARP triggered event, this writer reported that in 2004, Michel Chossudovsky wrote in the article, “CLG implies Chile HAARP Quake: Great ball of fire?”:
“The significant expansion in America’s weather warfare arsenal, which is a priority of the Department of Defense is not a matter for debate or discussion. While, environmentalists blame the Bush administration for not having signed the Kyoto protocol, the issue of “weather warfare”, namely the manipulation of weather patterns for military use is never mentioned.” (emphasis added)
Weather warfare was not a major topic at the recent Copenhagen Summit, despite its well attendance by environmentalists.
The Pentagon has “joined the global warming consensus” used by environmentalists’ “global warming” campaign according to Chossudovsky.
“HAARP also has the ability of triggering blackouts and disrupting the electricity power system of entire regions.
“An analysis of statements emanating from the US Air Force points to the unthinkable: the covert manipulation of weather patterns, communications systems and electric power as a weapon of global warfare, enabling the US to disrupt and dominate entire regions of the World.” (Chossudovsky, 2004)
The criminal cabal is creating havoc all over the world, benefiting from HAARP according to Moret.
The event unfolding in Japan is like a million nuclear bombs have been dropped on Japan she explains.
Moret is certain that the tectonic weaponry quake/nuclear bomb will also be applied to the United States west coast.
Radiation that will impact North Americans is a reality that has “terrified” Moret and other technicians, engineers and nuclear scientists with whom Moret is working.
“The reactors in Japan have been in meltdown.”
Radiation is being released into the atmosphere.
“The head of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has said it is so radioactive, it is a lethal dose to anyone at that plant.”
“Basically all of the workers there are going to die of radiation exposure,” stated Moret.
She explained that on March 18th of March, there were HAARP signatures such as tornado vortex as the radiation arrived on the West Coast of the United States that followed heavy chem-trailing along the coast. An unusual storm hit for ten minutes. The television reporters announced a tornado warning. Huge heavy torrential rains came down. Even now, California is having an inch of rain a day and more rain predicted.
The HAARP technology is an integrated computer facilitated. Moret stated that:
Chemtrails are used as electromagnetic energy mirrors to bounce signals and transmit around the world.
The jetstream is not carrying the nuclear particles.
Smoke and particulates is being transported across the Pacific in the troposphere, 60 miles from earth, as moisture.
Almost all of that is rained out in almost two months.
“We are living through the most efficient form of nuclear war.”
HAITI
Sometimes earthquakes just happen. But sometimes, if you believe the conspiracy theorists out there, they are made to happen -- usually by secret U.S. military weapons.

It isn’t surprising that the idea that the U.S. military caused the tragic January 12 earthquake in Haiti is making the rounds. But the way that it is making the rounds is interesting.

Figuring out exactly where to pick up the thread is hard, but it appears a story appeared on January 18 on the website of Venezuela’s ViVe TV that Russia’s Northern Fleet had reported that a “flawed” U.S. Navy weapons test had caused the horrific events in Haiti.

For the sake of veracity, apparently, the ViVe TV report claimed the U.S. Navy was also behind aJanuary 9 earthquake near the northern California town of Eureka, which fortunately caused no casualties.

The report added that the weapon was being developed and tested for use against Iran.

Shortly thereafter, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez went on television to repeat the report.Chavez’s analysis was picked up by RT (formerly Russia Today, the Kremlin’s English-language television channel) on January 20.

The RT report does not mention that Russia's Northern Fleet was supposedly the original source of the Chavez sensation.

RT has been pushing various anti-American themes in its Haiti coverage, including the notion thatWashington is using the crisis to "occupy" the country

On June 28, 2005, nineteen American Special Operations soldiers were killed by Taliban forces in northwestern Afghanistan. It was the largest loss of life in Navy SEAL history. In the midst of the mission, called Operation Red Wing, some local goat herders stumbled upon the SEALs’ hiding place. Because the herders were unarmed and showed no evidence of hostility, the soldiers decided to let them go. They were afraid that if they killed the herders (which they considered the correct military decision), the American media would label them as murderers for breaking the Geneva Convention. Shortly after letting the herders go, the American forces were ambushed by between 80 and 200 Taliban militants. They were overwhelmed by the sheer number of insurgents and enemy firepower, and only one American survived the ordeal.
The only survivor of the operation assumes that the herders told the Taliban about the SEALs’ whereabouts. In his book, he blames American Leftists and the liberal media for forcing the military to adhere to the standards of the Geneva Conventions in Afghanistan, which led to the decision to let the herders live. Many of the more hawkish conservatives agree with him, and the human rights issues surrounding the War on Terror have been widely debated throughout the conflict. While I understand that it is difficult to adhere to standards of human rights when the other side is murdering innocent civilians indiscriminately, we can’t afford to lower ourselves to the standards of terrorism.

Violent protest and riots are not the way. They only allow the global elite the ability to divide and conquer easier.
Revolution should be non violent revolt. Then they cannot justify to the world violent opposition to their ousting.

10 Things That The Egypt Riots Can Teach Us About What Happens When Society Breaks Down
The American Dream
Jan 31, 2011
The rioting in Egypt is perhaps the biggest single news story so far in 2011.  The pace at which Egyptian society has been transformed over the past week has been absolutely breathtaking.  A few months ago, nobody would have ever dreamed that there would be huge riots in the streets of major Egyptian cities calling for the resignation of Hosni Mubarak.  But it has happened, and now Egypt will never be the same again.  So what does the future hold for Egypt?  Well, many are hopeful that this revolution will bring about a better government in Egypt and a better way of life for average Egyptians.  Personally, I am not nearly so optimistic.  In fact, I believe that there is a great danger that an even more repressive government could take the place of the current regime.  But in any event, there are important lessons that the Egypt riots can teach all of us about what happens when society breaks down.  Societal collapse is often a very messy, very violent affair.  Someday if the global economy completely implodes, we may see economic riots erupt all over the world (including inside the United States) and we all need to get prepared for that.

GEORGIA/RUSSIA WAR

My view of the Georgia-Russia conflict instigated by U.S. & Israel in an attempt to fracture SCO

Your rating: None
I'll try to make this short and to the point, but I'm afraid that will defeat the purpose as I delve into explanation of geopolitical SNAFU.
For those unfamiliar, SCO stands for Shanghai Cooperation Organization. More on that later.
I trust the people who are wise to pursue alternative route to Internet news to find out the truth of what the hell is going on in South Ossetia. CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and broadcast news channels, as usual, fail to provide the fair and balanced analysis -- all they do is fumble and defer to "respected talking head" morons pretending to be experts explaining away the situation when they really know shit.
Here, I offer my view of what's really going on over there and how this is the fault of U.S. and Israel.

SPAIN

Spain's leadership default

Spain is not broke. It does have a major unemployment problem, a stiff labor market, and inadequate innovation. But its public debt is smaller than Britain's, France's or Germany's and its budget deficit--on par with America's and also a consequence of a much needed stimulus plan--is already being reined in. Why is it then being heralded around the world as the next potential global cataclysm?
Spain's biggest short-term problem is not a threat of insolvency but a misguided leadership and communication strategy. The Spanish administration prolonged a state of denial and inaction beyond any reasonable limit. It accused internal critics of being partisan and unpatriotic and external reporters of conspiring against Spain. It finally had no choice but to announce drastic measures but it did so overnight and under the pretext of external pressures.
By not fully recognizing the gravity of the situation the administration eroded the investor and consumer confidence it had hoped to build. By killing the messenger it appeared defensive. By acting by surprise it appeared to be unprepared. And by placing blame elsewhere for the decisions, it projected powerlessness. Denying the facts, killing the messenger, acting by surprise and assigning blame elsewhere are classic elements of a leadership default--rather than a debt one--in times of crisis.

.......................................................................................
OBAMA DOCTRINE
In an article in The Providence Journal from August 28, 2007,James Kirchick used the term in a derogatory sense, and argued that the Obama Doctrine could be summarised as: "The United States will remain impassive in the face of genocide." This critique was based on an interview Obama had given to the Associated Press on July 21, where he said that "the United States cannot use its military to solve humanitarian problems and that preventing a potential genocide in Iraq isn't a good enough reason to keep U.S. forces there."[4] Hilary Bok, guest-blogging for Andrew Sullivan at The Atlantic's The Daily Dish, refuted Kirchick's representation of Obama's foreign policy views as a distortion. Bok pointed to Obama's use of anti-genocide activist Samantha Power as a political adviser, and to several interviews the candidate had given expressing concern for the situation in Darfur and elsewhere.[5] Later, in a presidential debate with John McCain, Obama stated that the U.S. occasionally would have to "consider it as part of our interests" to carry out humanitarian interventions.

Later in the campaign, when asked the question about himself at one of the Democratic presidential debates in March, Obama answered that his doctrine was "not going to be as doctrinaire as the Bush doctrine, because the world is complicated." He added that the United States would have to "view our security in terms of a common security and a common prosperity with other peoples and other countries."[7] Later this doctrine was elaborated on as "a doctrine that first ends the politics of fear and then moves beyond a hollow, sloganeering 'democracy promotion' agenda in favor of 'dignity promotion,'" that would target the conditions that promoted anti-Americanism and prevented democracy.[8] This policy was quickly criticized by Dean Barnett of The Weekly Standard as naïve. Barnett argued that it was not a "climate of fear" that lay behind Islamic extremism, but "something more malicious".

His first major speech on foreign policy was delivered on April 23, 2007 to the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. He identified the problems that he believes the current foreign policy has caused, and the five ways the United States can lead again, focused on "common security", "common humanity", and remaining "a beacon of freedom and justice for the world":[2]
  • "Bringing a responsible end" to the war in Iraq and refocusing on the broader region.
  • "Building the first truly 21st century military and showing wisdom in how we deploy it."
  • "Marshalling a global effort" to secure, destroy, and stop the spread of weapons of mass destruction.
  • "Rebuild and construct the alliances and partnerships necessary to meet common challenges and confront common threats," including global warming.
  • "Invest in our common humanity" through foreign aid and supporting the "pillars of a sustainable democracy – a strong legislature, an independent judiciary, the rule of law, a vibrant civil society, a free press, and an honest police force."
During the speech Obama called for an expansion of the United States Armed Forces "by adding 65,000 soldiers to the Army and 27,000 Marines", an idea previously introduced by Secretary of Defense Robert Gates.
In a Washington, DC speech entitled "A New Strategy for a New World"[3] delivered July 15, 2008, Obama stated five main foreign policy goals:
  • ending the war in Iraq responsibly;
  • finishing the fight against al-Qaeda and the Taliban;
  • securing all nuclear weapons and materials from terrorists and rogue states;
  • achieving true energy security; and,
  • rebuilding our alliances to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
