Vermont: Massive fish kill in Lake Champlain

Quite a sight along the shores of Lake Champlain-- there's been a massive fish kill.

Alewives have washed ashore at the sandbar in Milton.

Vermont Fish and Wildlife biologists estimate that tens of thousands of the nonnative species have died due to stress caused by frigid temperatures.

Ice fishermen have been noticing Alewives popping through the ice in recent months. Now that the ice is melting, they're washing ashore. They've also been spotted in Georgia, Vt.

"Never seen nothing like this," said George St. Amour, a fisherman from Colchester. "One year on the ice there were a few that came up in the cracks, but nothing this tremendous ya' know, there's a lot of them though."

Biologists first discovered alewives in 2005 in Lake Champlain. This is the second major fish kill like this in Lake Champlain. The first one was in 2008. Biologists don't know for sure how the nonnative fish was introduced to the lake.

Fourteen people allegedly involved in the shooting of 52 anti-government protesters in Sana’a in March have been referred to Yemen’s state prosecutor, the interior ministry said on Sunday.

“The interior ministry has handed 14 people accused to the public prosecution over the tragic incidents” of March 18 near Sana’a University when “several protesters were martyred or wounded,” a ministry spokesman said.

“Thirty other suspects will be questioned in connection with the same case,” the spokesman was quoted as saying by the Yemeni state news agency Saba.
Fifty-two people were shot dead in what rights groups have called “an apparently coordinated (rooftop) sniper attack on a protest camp in Sana’a.”

More than an estimated 125 people have been killed since protests calling for the ouster of President Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen erupted in late January, inspired by uprisings which toppled long-time rulers in Tunisia and Egypt.

Meanwhile Yemen’s opposition leaders were scheduled to meet with Gulf Arab foreign ministers in Saudi Arabia on Sunday to lay out their conditions before entering formal talks over the departure of President Saleh.

After three months of protests in Yemen demanding an end to Mr. Saleh’s 32-year rule, Gulf Arab states offered to mediate on plans of a transition of power, but talks have dragged over issues such as the president’s immunity from prosecution and the timetable for a transition.

Last week, the opposition, whose delegation is headed by former Foreign Minister Mohammed Basindwa, rejected a proposal by Gulf foreign ministers because it appeared to offer immunity to Mr. Saleh.

Mr. Basindwa told Reuters the opposition had now agreed to meet at the invitation of Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the condition that no Saleh representatives would be present.http://english.alarabiya.net/articles/2011/04/17/145762.html

Thousands of Star Fish Wash Up On South Carolina Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The unsettled weather along the South Carolina coast has caused thousands of starfish to wash on shore at Pawleys Island.

State Department of Natural Resources Marine Division spokesman Phil Maier told The Sun News of Myrtle Beach that the starfish were likely dislodged from the rocks they usually stick to by rough seas Monday night.

Beachgoers reported starfish littering sections of the beach Tuesday, some piled on top of each other.

Maier says most of the starfish are still alive and there is no need to throw them back in the ocean because Mother Nature will take care of them.

What else is tucked under the rug?

The question this morning was "what do I put on my blog?". There is so much going on in the world and I am all consumed with how it is all connected and is affecting us all in profound ways.

Weather is an interesting factor in all of this. As you know, the weather patterns change, but we all share the same atmosphere. What happens in Australia will eventually effect us in the United States. The weather may change, but it circulates on a global scale.

Not only does the actual weather circulate on a global scale, but the effects of the weather disasters circulate as well. Because of the weather disasters, including the effects on crops, you'll notice that the quality and availability of produce in your local grocery store has changed quite dramatically. In my local grocery store, there have been signs above the produce, explaining that the quality may not be what we are used to seeing because of the destructive freezing weather. When crops are destroyed or damaged, we all feel the pain.

Additionally, we have the issue of the earthquakes, the volcanic eruptions, and the Middle-East revolution that we continue to experience, all of which effect our security, our economy, and other aspects of our daily lives. This has no exception on a global scale. The only exception would be the severity of the produced effects.

There are other factors that you may not know about that are changing things where you live, making you sick, making you a guinea pig for biological experiments, and more. Over the past few years, the things that I have learned about the government makes me sick to think that I trusted them fully not long ago. Their secret societies are real. The Bilderbergs. The Illuminati. More. There are an elite group of people who are trying to rule the world without thinking of the consequences for the general population. They speak words that seem beautiful to hear, but their actions don't match their grand speeches.

I'm not a crazy person. I'm a highly educated, curious, researcher who has stumbled upon some interesting topics with some interesting theories. I may not agree with the extremes that others do, but I do think there are things going on right under our noses without us being privy. Here are just a few.

This video is one that I found fascinating. I don't agree with many of the aspects that they put into it to make it more dramatic (i.e., the people in the planes, the blowing up of planes, etc), but I do think that it is a creative masterpiece when it comes to things like chemtrails, biological experiments, and other "secret" government issued things.

REDONDO BEACH, Calif. – Millions of dead fish were found Tuesday floating in a Southern California marina. Boaters awakened to find a carpet of small silvery fish surrounding their vessels, said Staci Gabrielli, marine coordinator for King Harbor Marina on the Los Angeles County coast.

California Fish and Game officials believe the fish are anchovies and sardines.

Experts had yet to determine what happened, but Gabrielli said the fish appeared to have moved into the harbor to escape a red tide, a naturally occurring bloom of toxic algae that can poison fish or starve them of oxygen.

High winds overnight might then have trapped the fish in the harbor, crushing them against a wall where they used up the oxygen and suffocated, she said.

You'll find that you may have doubts as to the cause of certain weather disasters, earthquakes, and other things that you used to trust were just natural phenomena. This is when your eyes open and you realize that there may be more tucked under the rug.

California Fish and Game officials believe the fish are anchovies and sardines.

High winds overnight might then have trapped the fish in the harbor, crushing them against a wall where they used up the oxygen and suffocated, she said.

The dead fish were so thick in some places that Garbrielli said boats can't get out of the harbor.

Fish and Game authorities arrived and began taking samples of the fish.

"We have no idea how they got here," said spokesman Andrew Hughan. "There are thousands and thousands and thousands of fish."

According to an article in infonews.co.nz, the formation of chemtrails allegedly originate from aerosols which do not disappear like the usual vapour contrails which dissapate after a short time. Chemtrails form into clouds that remain in the sky for hours and are often in patterns like ‘X’ and ‘V’ formations as well as checkerboard grid patterns.

The evidence which has been collected for the last ten years may suggest that chemtrails have many purposes some of which include geoengineering, weather modification, and perhaps military uses. To accomplish this they use elements such as aluminum and barium which are detrimental to the environment, water, and life. According to Clare Swinney at infonews.co.nz the chemtrails contain spontaneously reproducing nanotubes which cause Morgellon’s disease and according to the research of Clifford Carnicom have affected everyone.

According to the correspondence between the concerned citizen and a member of New Zealand parliament the trail he saw could likely have been from a passenger plane which allegedly have been seen spreading contrails in New Zealand and other parts of the planet. The citizen also mentioned a Nexus magazine article in which emergency rooms had been ‘inundated with flu-like cases’ after a chemtrail spraying. In London contrails leaving cobweb-like residue falling from the sky may be linked to elderly catching fatal cases of pneumonia.

According to the article in infonews.co.nz ten days after a chemtrail spraying a sudden surge in respitory-related illnesses including asthma and pneumonia were reported in the New Zealand Herald on June 3rd, 1999.

Amidst recently declassified documents released by the New Zealand government were correspondences from an inquiring citizen who believed that there would be an increase in illness after they saw a persistent jet contrail in the sky which is also known as a “chemtrail.”

While it seems pretty creepy that thousands of dead birds are falling out of the sky, millions of dead fish are turning up, and tens of thousands of dead crabs are littering beaches, it turns out these aren't the only bizarremass animal deaths that have occurred over the years.

In fact, compared to a doggie death bridge, exploding frogs, and the extinction of 50% of life on Earth, these past few weeks pale in comparison. We've listed a few of the creepiest mass animal deaths that have occurred throughout history. And the next time you hear of birds falling from the sky, just be grateful it's not raining frogs again.

Dogs Over The Bridge

In the past fifty years, 50 to 600 dogs have jumped over Scotland’s Overtoun Bridge and plummeted to their deaths. A few years ago, five dogs jumped in under six months. The Daily Mail wrote an article featuring reports of horrified pet owners who walked their dog over the bridge, when suddenly the dog would, without warning, leap over the bridge, falling 50 ft to the rocky bottom below. Perhaps even more disturbing, there are reports of “second timers” – of the few dogs who have survived the fall, some jumped over the same bridge again.

Many theories have circulated about why dogs react this way to the bridge. Some suggest that the dogs are deliberately committing suicide, perhaps due to depression in their owners or even a supernatural force. More recent research suggests that it may be the scent of minks, an animal known to live under the bridge.

Whatever the explanation may be, perhaps dog owners should simply stop walking their dogs over the Overtoun Bridge.
