Swarms of Earthquake Activity.

As the active sunspot turns toward Earth, the earthquake activity continues to increase.  Here is the latest chart on the activity of the Sun...

There have been swarms of seismic activity around the globe that indicates there may be larger earthquakes to come.  First, lets look at Japan.

On this map, here is a list of the earthquake action (blue squares indicate the action within the past 24 hours)...

Notice the two 5.8 magnitude earthquakes.  On the map, they are spread apart from one another.  This leaves the possibility that there may be something larger that happens somewhere between the two.

In the area of Northern Sumatra, the earthquakes have started up again.  Here is the map showing the earthquake action...

Remember, this area is on high alert because of the pressure between the plates that is happening.

Another area to keep a close eye on is the Tonga region.  There have been quakes there in the past week and more during the past 24 hours.  Because there was a 6.7 in the past week, we need to keep a close eye on this area.  The swarm could build and/or there could be a megaquake.

MAP4.62012/04/29 12:46:53  -23.558-177.599 212.1  SOUTH OF THE FIJI ISLANDS
MAP4.52012/04/29 09:01:45  -24.603-175.359 35.8  SOUTH OF TONGA
There are other areas that we need to keep a close eye on such as Chile, Alaska, and the West Coast of the United States.  The main area where pressure build up has been reported by scientists along the West Coast of the U.S. and Canada is "Cascadia".  This is just off shore of Oregon and Washington State and up to Canada.  Because not much pressure has been released from this area, there is a large chance that this area is ripe for a very large earthquake.

Of course, the best thing to do is to be prepared.  You should have your earthquake preparedness plan in place and your preparedness supplies in an easily accessible area.

I will update you when further information is warranted.  Thanks for reading.

Mega Earthquake Location New Madrid Fault? March 22, 2012?

I cannot guarantee that this information is more than fear-mongering or paranoid delusion, but I can say that there is an uptick in the number of earthquakes and the size of earthquakes.  Because of this and because of previous patterns of mega-earthquakes, I can say that you must be alert for any possible sign that the next megaquake is on the horizon.  Prepare and watch.  If no earthquake happens, you are prepared for when one does happen.  Emergency preparedness needs to be practiced for all kinds of emergencies anyway.  Read and be warned or entertained:)

Frightening Volcanic Venting Signals Coming Midwest Megaquake
Posted by  on March 13, 2012

Terrence Aymbeforeitsnews
A U.S. Midwest Megaquake: many say ‘It can’t happen here.’ But it can, and it will. It’s happened many times in the past and the odds are increasing that it’s about to happen again soon—much sooner than most people think. The last New Madrid Megaquake caused the Mississippi River to run backward, destroyed whole towns and villages in seconds, and killed an unknown number of people. And that was when most of the Midwest was sparsely populated. The next Megaquake would affect up to 160 million people, severely damage or destroy most of the supporting infrastructure, topple one or more major cities, potentially kill tens of thousands, and make a million or more homeless within a matter of mere minutes.
Now, ominous evidence points to an imminent Megaquake: volcanic venting, spewing acrid plumes miles high into the atmosphere, has been observed and photographed. Worse, the many ancient Midwestern volcanoes are re-activating—and farther west the grandaddy of Utah’s volcanoes is waking from its long, restless slumber…

New Madrid Doomsday: Volcanic Venting Detected In Arkansas, Missouri
Scientists at the United States Geological Survey are probably biting their nails…
The New Madrid fault is giving every indication of an approaching major slip and significant volcanic venting in three states is providing plenty of warning.

A plume is visible from venting volcanic activity [Arkansas]
A remarkable satellite video of the New Madrid fault region, posted by researcher Michael Janitch, captures multiple plumes from volcanic vents along the fault area. Much of the region is honeycombed with cracks and fractures.

Two plumes appear, smoke from top one drifts north
Anyone who’s visited the famous hot springs in Arkansas...knows that the area is volcanically active. While relatively dormant, the pressure is always there. As it builds it creates greater pressure on the subterranean strata. Some of that pressure is relieved by small temblors measuring anywhere from 2.5 to 4.0 in strength.
But the small quakes are not enough to offset the rising pressure and eventually the fault sheers and slips. How much it slips determines how big the earthquake is that accompanies the slippage. And most geologists agree that the next significant shift will be great—so great that a Megaquake will occur that equals or surpasses the historic quake of 1811-12.
ALERT: Dormant volcanoes activating in Utah, Oklahoma, Missouri
Beyond the upsurge in magma and steam venting, disturbing evidence has emerged that indicates three long dormant volcanoes in the Midwest may be returning to life. ...
Janitch has identified the volcanoes and documented their stirrings. One of the most dangerous—and surprising—volcanoes is the one located in southeast Missouri.

According to Janitch: “…there resides a dormant volcano—not marked on any map…but you can see the county (I have done this already myself)…go look up that county on Google Earth…and look for theonly stand alone mountain in the area…zoom in…and you will see it…clearly an unmarked or unknown dormant volcano…(for sure unnamed).“Yes, there are volcanoes in Missouri, also in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Utah.
...Adding to the woes the Midwest may soon experience, is the now turbulent sun. It’s known that significantly increased and violent solar storms exacerbate the geomagnetic field. The permutations radiate all the way to the Earth’s core. That in turn increases the rate and intensity of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.

...space experts forecast to be the worst and most violent since 1859.
The hell that a Megaquake could bring to 12 or more states in the Midwest is fully revealed in this article:
Alert: Devastating Megaquake May Destroy Midwest Soon.

The potential amount of death and destruction is beyond most peoples ability to imagine, let alone cope with. Emergency services would be strained beyond their breaking point and the state and federal governments would be impotent for weeks following the event.

...The New Madrid fault is awakening. It’s not in a very good mood

Do You Think A Mega Earthquake Is Due March 22, 2012?

Things are definitely rockin' and rollin' in the Middle East. This is an area that has not seen this amount of earthquake action in years! Take a look at today's snapshot below from the USGS...

The following YouTube poster has recognized many of the earthquake increases coinciding with dormant volcano steam venting and other volcanic activity. While I don't always agree with everything that he posts, he is a great one to watch regarding earthquake activity increase.

From YouTube Video Poster Below:

Uploaded by dutchsinse on Mar 12, 2012 Notice the lower left camera.. and lower right camera.. clearly showing a noticeable earthquake -- then an explosive daytime eruption... which revealed a steam VACUUM PRESSURE BLAST!!!

The vacuum in the blast was revealed by the steam in the caldera as it was forced up, and then sucked BACK into the caldera -- in less than 1 second ! Really amazing to see this! If you're not into the scoring on this -- the mute button is always an option.. but since this is real time (silent) a few sounds help pass the multiple minutes.

Here are more pieces that may suggest that a mega quake is likely.

Tohoku grim reminder of potential for Pacific Northwest megaquake
by Staff Writers Reno NV (SPX)
Feb 22, 2012
The March 11, 2011 Tohoku earthquake is a grim reminder of the potential for another strong-motion mega-earthquake along the Pacific Northwest coast...

"The Cascadia fault line, which runs from southern Canada all the way to Northern California, could have much stronger ground-motions than those observed in Japan," Anderson, a professor of geophysics, said. ...

...Some models predict that a Cascadia earthquake will not rupture so far under the land, but if it does, the data from the Tohoku earthquake predict stronger ground motions along our west coast than those seen in Japan.

...  In Cascadia, the last great earthquake occurred on January 26, 1700.

... "If you live in the Pacific northwest, look at the videos of Tohoku as a reminder to be prepared for an earthquake and tsunami."

... "There have of course been other mega-earthquakes, but this is by far the best-recorded," he said.

Megaquake predicted for Pacific Northwest
02/20/2012
Feb. 20--VANCOUVER, British Columbia --Ground movements in coastal British Columbia, Washington state and Oregon suggest the Cascade region is ripe for a giant quake similar to the one that struck Japan in March, scientists said Sunday.

Such a quake would almost certainly trigger another Pacific-wide tsunami, they said at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

The most recent megaquake in the region was a magnitude-9.0 temblor southwest of Seattle in 1700, an event deduced from the resulting tsunami that hit Japan.

Another giant quake is possible where two tectonic plates are colliding in the northeastern Pacific, said Kelin Wang of the Geological Survey of Canada. Just offshore, the Juan de Fuca plate is grinding under the North American plate at the Cascadia subduction zone, an area that stretches from Vancouver Island to Northern California.

"It will produce a pretty big tsunami," Wang said in a symposium at the Vancouver Convention Center. "We know that because the tsunami generated by the 1700 event hit Japan and caused pretty large damage, comparable to the damage caused by the 1960 earthquake off Chile. So we know Cascadia is capable of producing a pretty large tsunami."

The clues to the future quake are ground stations equipped with GPS, Wang said. All of the coastal stations east of the Cascadia zone are moving east, being pushed inland as the plates collide. That indicates the fault is stuck and pressure is building, he said.

Eventually the pressure must be released, resulting in "elastic rebound" -- an earthquake.

The magnitude is difficult to forecast, but the same tectonic process was at work in Japan before last year's devastating 9.0-magnitude Tohoku quake hit March 11, he said. Before the quake, all the GPS stations in Japan were moving west, a mirror image of what's happening at Cascadia.

VANCOUVER — Scientists are still unraveling last year's giant Tohoku earthquake and tsunami in Japan, and some of what they're finding doesn't bode well for B.C. and the Pacific Northwest.

Detailed analyses of the way the Earth warped along the Japanese coast suggest that shaking from a Cascadia megaquake could be stronger than expected along the coasts of Washington, Oregon and British Columbia, researchers reported Sunday at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

"The Cascadia subduction zone can be seen as a mirror image of the Tohoku area," said John Anderson, of the University of Nevada.
Anderson compiled ground-motion data from the Japan quake and overlaid it on a map of the Pacific Northwest, which has a similar fault — called a subduction zone — lying offshore.

In Japan, the biggest jolts occurred underwater. The seafloor was displaced by 150 feet or more in some places, triggering the massive tsunami. But in the Northwest, it's the land that will be rocked hardest — because the Pacific coast here lies so close to the subduction zone.
