Global Apocalypse 2016?

I know I'm not the only one out there who is feeling an energy rising that is going to lead to the apocalypse.  It's a feeling that keeps stabbing at me, telling me that we are being lead down a path of no return.  It's a feeling that runs through my brain and body day and night. I know there are a lot of you out there who are feeling the same thing and who are not even telling their closest friends and family.

My feelings are that no matter which way the election tilts, violence will ensue and that will give the powers that be excuse to buckled don't their control and hence taking away much of our freedom.

The peaceful freedoms enjoyed by American citizens are on the brink of destruction.  We think we enjoy these freedoms but we are manipulated by media. The media are owned by the powers that are pulling the puppet strings. What is real and what is just the reality that we are being lead to believe.

The above is from CNN. Is this an actual situation or is it fear mongering? I don't know.  Do you? Unless we have an in into the situation, we won't ever know the truth. Can we actually believe any of the leaders that have told us anything about this situation?

The drill that Russia performed, the nuclear drill, that the media emphasized was preparing for an imminent disaster...was it really preparing for an imminent nuclear situation?

Because of Russia's human rights abuses in Syria, it has been kicked off the U.N. Human Rights Council. At this point, I don't think that they care.

While I don't doubt that Russia is bound to instigate the nuclear cascade, I also wouldn't be surprised by other players, namely North Korea, Iran or China.  All of these have been colluding in recent years against the United States.


The war on faith is being felt on a global scale. Is that being publicized through the media?  No. Instead, what gets publicized is the instances where the agenda of the puppet masters is interrupted, showing what might happen to you if you don't comply. The fear mongering. The hate. The violence.

War on family has been executed since the dawn of man, but as of late, new demons have been mixing with old to push the agenda deeper, quicker. The process of pushing out family values and the family unit has been pushed by the agenda of the puppet masters through groups who have been posing as those who care about LGBT rights.  As we all know, the puppet masters don't actually care except that these groups help move their agenda forward, The victims of those people who get in the mix don't actually matter to these puppet masters.  Hence this...

With the willingness to incite violence if either party wins the election, people are being drawn out and influenced to amp up the talk into action. 

Even with all of these things going on around us, we still have the choice to act well.  We have the choice to be good to each other.  We still have the choice to believe that the human race can change its course.

Encourage your neighbors to join you in preparedness. Prepare supplies of food and water that you can regularly rotate but would help sustain you and your family for days, weeks, months at a time if there were an emergency.

Florida's Indian River Lagoon Is A "Killing Zone" Of Mass Animal Deaths: Report (VIDEO)

Dozens of bottlenose dolphins have succumbed to the "killing zone" of Florida's Indian River Lagoon.

Day after day, dolphins floated up dead, emaciated down to their skeletons. Florida's Indian River Lagoon, considered one of the most diverse ecosystems in North America, was in dire crisis.

And it wasn't just the 46 dead bottlenose dolphins. The casualty list is long and depressing: gone are 47,000 acres of sea grass beds, 111 manatees, and 300 pelicans, reports Fox News.

It's been described as a "killing zone" and a "mass murder mystery" that is perplexing biologists.

The Tampa Bay Times reports that scientists believe it may be due to one or several causes: fertilizer-laced stormwater runoff, polluted water dumped from Lake Okeechobee by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, climate change and effects on acidity, changes in water temperature and salt levels, and overflow from contaminated mosquito-control ditches.

The Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute at Florida Atlantic University was counting on $2 million in state funds to study the dead bodies piling up at Indian River Lagoon.

Except Gov. Rick Scott vetoed the research project in May, writing in his veto letter “While some water projects may also contribute to a statewide objective, not all projects demonstrate an ability to contribute to a statewide investment.”

Since Scott took office in 2009, his smaller government approach has slashed regulation and conservation programs, reports the Broward New Times.

He even reportedly replacedexperienced Department of Environmental Protection employees with people from polluting industries.

Scott also recently put the state's water quality under the DEP as opposed to the federal Environmental Protection Agency.

"The new changes would be significant because many are less-stringent than the bare minimum recommended by the Environmental Protection Agencyand existing standards in Alabama," a former member of Florida's Environmental Regulation Commission told the Orlando Sentinel.

Meanwhile Marty Baum of the Indian Riverkeeper told Fox News, “The lagoon is in a full collapse, it is ongoing.”

Biologists race to solve mysterious mass animal deaths in Florida lagoon

At least 111 manatees, 300 pelicans, and 46 dolphins — emaciated to the point of skin and bones — were all found dead in America’s most biologically diverse estuary.

Something is seriously wrong. The northern stretches of the Indian River Lagoon of Florida has a mass murder mystery that biologists are racing to figure out. The lagoon contains more species than anywhere else in the U.S. It is a barrier island complex stretching across 40 percent of Florida’s coast, around Cape Canaveral, and consisting of the Mosquito Lagoon, the Banana River and the Indian River Lagoon.

The lagoon has always been polluted by nutrients and fertilizers running off lawns and farms, but in recent years it appears to have reached some sort of tipping point, says Marty Baum of the Indian Riverkeeper.

“The lagoon is in a full collapse, it is ongoing,” he said.

Hog Farms Battling to Contain Deadly Virus

A swine virus appeared in the United States last spring in Ohio and in weeks had spread to four more states. How it entered the country is unknown.

ANNAWAN, Ill. — The outside world is not allowed in a sanitized and isolated pig farm here, not far from the Iowa border.

Visitors must shower before entering, scrubbing from head to toe, trading their street clothes for disinfected coveralls that have never left the premises. Everything inside the temperature-controlled barn housing 3,000 sows has been blasted with antiseptic.

“We do a better job than some hospitals,” said Dr. Matt Ackerman, a veterinarian who works with the farm.

Strict protocols have kept the operation, one of 10 swine facilities run by Great Plains Management, safe from a virus spreading across the country this summer, killing piglets by the thousands and distressing hog producers in 16 states.

But those same precautions have not worked everywhere. A Central Indiana farm that Dr. Ackerman also works with was among the first to lose piglets to the virus in May. “If it gets in, you can’t stop it,” Dr. Ackerman said. “We filled wheelbarrows with dead pigs.”

The porcine epidemic diarrhea virus, which is deadly only to young pigs and poses no food safety risks or danger to humans, appeared in the United States for the first time last spring in Ohio and within weeks had spread to four other states.

The outbreak led to a flurry of lab testing and a survey of the industry to determine how the virus had entered the country, comparing supplies and feeds in an effort to find a smoking gun. Farmers are cross-referencing vaccine and semen distributors, even the brands of plastic pipettes they use to inseminate sows, desperate to contain a threat that has made the industry feel increasingly vulnerable.

“It’s anybody’s guess at this point,” said Lisa Becton, director of swine health information and research at the National Pork Board, which is spending $800,000 for research into the virus.

First surfacing in Britain more than 40 years ago, the virus has spread throughout Europe and Asia. It has caused problems most recently among pork producers in China, where a 2012 strand of the disease was 99.4 percent similar to cases now found in the United States, according to researchers.

Researchers in the United States are working on a vaccine for the virus, which is passed through fecal matter and resembles transmissible gastroenteritis, another pig-to-pig illness that American farms have at times encountered. Symptoms include severe diarrhea and vomiting, and mortality rates can reach 100 percent for pigs less than a week old. Older swine will be sick for days but most likely recover.

Retroactive testing by a national laboratory pegged the earliest confirmed case of the virus in the United States around April 15 at a farm in Ohio. Within a month, other cases had surfaced in Indiana, Iowa, Colorado and Minnesota.

By the end of July, 403 separate cases had been reported to the National Animal Health Laboratory Network of the Department of Agriculture, with most outbreaks occurring in Iowa (149) and Oklahoma (94). About 30 new cases are reported each week.

“There’s not many times that a new virus hits an industry that has no immunity,” saidRobert Morrison, a professor of veterinary medicine at the University of Minnesota who has been studying the virus. “Every pig in the United States is susceptible. It’s like throwing a spark on a bunch of kindling.”

No one quite knows how many pigs have died so far, in part because the virus is not considered a foreign animal disease by the Agriculture Department and farms are not required to report it to the authorities.

Few experts are willing to speculate, saying only that industry losses amount to several hundred thousand piglets nationwide.

Though it is perhaps too soon to predict how the virus may affect the price of pork products, the epidemic has already caused economic hardships for individual farmers, particularly amid soaring feed prices caused by last year’s drought.

An average farm with 2,500 sows could lose nearly every newborn for four weeks if it is hit with the virus, killing roughly 5,000 piglets and causing financial losses close to $200,000. Adult pigs that recuperate typically build immunity to the virus, making recurring outbreaks rare.

“One month can do a lot of damage,” said Mark Greenwood, senior vice president for AgStar Financial Services, which provides financing to hog farms. “It’s really devastating if you’re finally turning the corner.”

The fear has inspired a renewed vigilance across the hog industry to ensure that workers are using basic practices like disinfecting their boots and trailers after visiting packing plants, which researchers have identified as high-risk locations for picking up the virus.

Yet questions remain about how the virus got to the United States in the first place, raising anxiety among producers and farmers.

“The world got a lot smaller that day,” Tom Burkgren, executive director of the American Association of Swine Veterinarians, said of when the first domestic case was confirmed. “If P.E.D.V. can get into the United States, what about some of the even more nasty viruses?”

Preliminary results from a targeted survey led by the association, which some had hoped would identify a link among infected farms, suggested that more data was needed. Dr. Burkgren said investigators would take a closer look at feed-related risk factors.

Jan Hueber, co-owner of Great Plains Management, the swine consultants, said he would take nothing for granted.

After an Indiana farm he works with lost at least three weeks of piglets from the virus, Mr. Hueber’s truck drivers now wear plastic disposable boots every time they visit a hog facility.

“Do we sleep comfortable at night?” he asked. “Not when you have something looming out there that can be so financially devastating.”

“We assume everything is infected,” he added.

Large-scale pollution

More than 4,000 birds to be culled in MP

RAIPUR: Soon after the samples sent from Anjora and Jagdalpur farm were declared positive by Bhopal's High Security Animal Diseases Laboratory, as a threat of bird flu (avian influenza) in Chhattisgarh, the rapid response team of Animal Husbandry's Veterinary Department, commenced disinfection in the region, killing more than 4,000 birds there.

Talking to TOI, S K Pandey, director, Animal Husbandry Department, said, "The cleaning and sanitation work is underway in both the affected areas which would finish latest by Wednesday morning. An area of one kilometer around the radius of infected zones would be sanitized. We had an inspection meeting with the alertness committee, health, forest and revenue officials after the Union ministry advised killing the birds in the affected areas. Nearly 2,500-3,000 birds have already died out of which 500 were in Anjora farm, Durg district and 3,000 in Jagdalpur's Kukkut farm."

Scientists discover what’s killing the bees and it’s worse than you thought

As we’ve written before, the mysterious mass die-off of honey bees that pollinate $30 billion worth of crops in the US has so decimated America’s apis melliferapopulation that one bad winter could leave fields fallow. Now, a new study has pinpointed some of the probable causes of bee deaths and the rather scary results show that averting beemageddon will be much more difficult than previously thought.

Scientists had struggled to find the trigger for so-called Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) that has wiped out an estimated 10 million beehives, worth $2 billion, over the past six years. Suspects have included pesticides, disease-bearing parasites and poor nutrition. But in a first-of-its-kind study published today in the journal PLOS ONE, scientists at the University of Maryland and the US Department of Agriculture have identified a witch’s brew of pesticides and fungicides contaminating pollen that bees collect to feed their hives. The findings break new ground on why large numbers of bees are dying though they do not identify the specific cause of CCD, where an entire beehive dies at once.

When researchers collected pollen from hives on the east coast pollinating cranberry, watermelon and other crops and fed it to healthy bees, those bees showed a significant decline in their ability to resist infection by a parasite calledNosema ceranae. The parasite has been implicated in Colony Collapse Disorder though scientists took pains to point out that their findings do not directly link the pesticides to CCD. The pollen was contaminated on average with nine different pesticides and fungicides though scientists discovered 21 agricultural chemicals in one sample. Scientists identified eight ag chemicals associated with increased risk of infection by the parasite.

Most disturbing, bees that ate pollen contaminated with fungicides were three times as likely to be infected by the parasite. Widely used, fungicides had been thought to be harmless for bees as they’re designed to kill fungus, not insects, on crops like apples.

“There’s growing evidence that fungicides may be affecting the bees on their own and I think what it highlights is a need to reassess how we label these agricultural chemicals,” Dennis vanEngelsdorp, the study’s lead author, told Quartz.

Labels on pesticides warn farmers not to spray when pollinating bees are in the vicinity but such precautions have not applied to fungicides.

Bee populations are so low in the US that it now takes 60% of the country’s surviving colonies just to pollinate one California crop, almonds. And that’s not just a west coast problem—California supplies 80% of the world’s almonds, a market worth $4 billion.

In recent years, a class of chemicals called neonicotinoids has been linked to bee deaths and in April regulators banned the use of the pesticide for two years in Europe where bee populations have also plummeted. But vanEngelsdorp, an assistant research scientist at the University of Maryland, says the new study shows that the interaction of multiple pesticides is affecting bee health.

“The pesticide issue in itself is much more complex than we have led to be believe,” he says. “It’s a lot more complicated than just one product, which means of course the solution does not lie in just banning one class of product.”

The study found another complication in efforts to save the bees: US honey bees, which are descendants of European bees, do not bring home pollen from native North American crops but collect bee chow from nearby weeds and wildflowers. That pollen, however, was also contaminated with pesticides even though those plants were not the target of spraying.

“It’s not clear whether the pesticides are drifting over to those plants but we need take a new look at agricultural spraying practices,” says vanEngelsdorp.
