A forensic chemist testifying in the Casey Anthony trial said today that the car belonging to the Florida mom accused of murdering 2-year-old daughter Caylee did not test positive for human decomposition.

To me, the above photo says it all. George contorts his mouth in an angry jaw projection while pursing his lips at the same time. This indicates that he is angry and can’t say anything else as he looks at Cindy with an angry furrowed brow as he knows what she is about to say is complete spin. He clearly does not believe what is about to come out of Cindy’s mouth and his disdain has clearly leaked out in his in his facial expression.

An FBI toxicologist said that hair samples from Caylee's skull did not test positive for xanax, valium, rufies and six other drugs. The hair was not tested for chloroform. The toxicologist acknowledged that testing hair is not the best way to see if someone was drugged.

(CNN) -- Should Casey Anthony testify?
That is the burning question making the rounds at the courthouse in Orlando, Florida, where Anthony is on trial for murder.
Seasoned criminal defense lawyers are split down the middle: Some see huge risks and questionable benefits; others say Anthony's lawyers have little choice but to put her on the stand.
It is always a defendant's decision whether to testify or remain silent. A lawyer can only offer advice. And that advice is one of the toughest calls a defense attorney has to make.

Orlando, Florida - Defense attorneys in the Casey Anthony murder trial want to question convicted felon, Vasco Thompson, who served prison time for kidnapping.
They may get that chance today.
Thompson is scheduled to participate in a deposition at defense attorney Cheney Mason's office in Orlando. The meeting is set up for 1:30 p.m.

Casey Anthony may have stolen and used a former inmate’s story to explain about the death of her two-year-old daughter, Caylee, the prosecution indicated on Tuesday.
A former Orange County inmate who was housed in the same dorm as Casey in 2009 by the name of April Whalen had a strikingly similar story to the defense.
Her son drowned on Christmas Day in 2007 when he fell into the pool at the family’s Orlando home. His grandfather retrieved his body.
Whalen’s story, which Casey may have overheard from an adjacent cell, resembles the defense’s claims that Caylee died after accidentally drowning in her grandparents’ swimming pool and was found by Casey’s father George Anthony who purportedly tried to cover-up the death.
George denied ever being present when his granddaughter died in previous testimony, and also stated he had nothing to do with the disposal of her body.

(CNN) - Even given a small amount of DNA present, it would be possible to extract a DNA profile from the duct tape covering the mouth portion of 2-year-old Caylee Anthony's skeletal remains, a Dutch forensic scientist testified Tuesday in the murder trial of her mother, Casey Anthony.
But, DNA expert Richard Eikelenboom testified, he did not ask to test the duct tape, although he said he offered to investigate. And, he said, he does not know whether Anthony's defense submitted any items to retest.
Defense attorney Jose Baez asked him if it was true that he did not retest the tape because prosecutors did not want him to take possession of it, prompting an angry objection from prosecutor Jeff Ashton and a sidebar conference with Orange County Chief Judge Belvin Perry Jr. Perry sustained Ashton's objection, saying Baez could not ask that question.
Eikelenboom testified about "low copy number" DNA, by which small samples of DNA are amplified and copied in an effort to obtain a full profile.
He said that when tape is used to cover a person's mouth, it's possible the sticky side of the tape could contain skin cells from the face as well as DNA from the mouth. However, he told Ashton, factors such as heat and water have "a very detrimental effect" on DNA and it would be difficult to determine a profile from tape that, in this case, had been exposed to the elements for as long as six months.

When a person can’t give you direct eye contact, it shows that they have something to hide or they don;t believe what they are saying. Cindy looks down as she begins her spin to protect Casey.
I am convinced she is doing all of this spin because of the immense guilt she must feel for her role in all of this. Remember it was Cindy who told Casey that she would throw her out keep Caylee. That is no doubt what must have sent sent Casey over the edge . Cindy no doubt knows that if she wouldn’t have been the catalyst for this, Caylee might still be alive.

(Reuters) - A research chemist testified on Wednesday that he found evidence of gasoline in air samples from Casey Anthony's car trunk but nothing to indicate that a dead body had been stored there.....................................................................................................
But before George showed signals of being genuine and knowing the truth, George showed signals of deception. He said I want my daughter home . That would be would be great to have my daughter home. But what is very telling this in his statement, is he made this statement as if he was asking a question with upward inflection at the end of the statement.
Facial language wise as you can see, his eyes are opened wide and eyebrows raised and his head is cocked as though he was questioning his own statement.
George knows very well Casey will never come home just like Caylee will never come home. When he says that it would be great to have his daughter home, he says it devoid of emotion and in a flat monotone. This is further evidence to me that he in no way thinks it would be great to have his daughter home.

Is the Judge in the Casey Anthony Case Showing Bias Towards Prosecutors?
GRETA VAN SUSTEREN, FOX NEWS HOST: Judge [Belvin] Perry, as Jeanine just said, lashes out at the defense again. It looks like he's sort of had it with the defense. But are the lawyers just doing their job, being aggressive advocates for their clients, or do the lawyers deserve a tongue-lashing from the judge?

There is lots of talk about the judge in the Casey Anthony murder trial getting mad at the lawyers. Yeah…so what else is new? A judge getting mad at lawyers in trial??? That is so routine! If you have ever watched one trial that has lasted more than one day, you have seen this. It is not a big deal. In fact, if the lawyers don’t get into a fuss or two with the judge, chances are the lawyers (prosecutor or defense) are not a strong advocate for his/her clients (the state or the accused.)

When a defendant elects to take the stand to testify, she puts her credibility at issue just like any other witness. After she testifies on direct examination, she is subject to cross-examination on the matters to which she testified. She cannot take the Fifth Amendment on any matter to which she has testified. However, she cannot be questioned about crimes for which she has not been accused. -- Judge O.H. Eaton

Here's why Casey Anthony does not deserve death penalty
I am beginning to wonder if Casey Anthony and José Baez could pull off the impossible.
Not exoneration from the jury but a death sentence from the judge.
As satisfying as that may be to the multitudes who have posted comments on our coverage of this trial, we do not have executions by democracy, and if found guilty, Casey does not qualify for the needle.
This case demonstrates everything that is wrong about capital punishment.
The criminal-justice system is too imperfect, too haphazard, too dependent on the relative skill of attorneys and too wrapped up in emotions to be killing people.
Casey has a cold heart and a sociopath's skill for lying. But in the world of monsters who kill their children, the accusations against Casey Anthony hardly stand out.
A death sentence for the murder of a child requires premeditation or aggravated child abuse.

CBS News Correspondent Betty Nguyen reports the defense sought to dispute prosecution claims that bugs found inside the trunk of Anthony's car proved Caylee's body had been left inside.
Dr. Timothy Huntington, forensic entomology consultant, said in court, "Looking at the evidence that was collected, for me there was no reason to assume that those maggots came from a human body."

dr glass, well put article.
I think that Cindy is guilty of pushing Casey to far, however ,if she did not help hide or help Casey then she has nothing to fear. But all of her lying and deseptive actions speak louder then words. Every parent ants to believe that their children would never do what Casey has done. It is time to tellthe truth..They need to stop listening to Bozo he is leading them down a path that is going to dig a ditch for them as well as Casey. jmo
