Obama. What Has He Actually Done for the Economy? Redistribution Underway.

Let's look at Obama's record on the economy.  The following statements come from Obama's website...BARACK OBAMA.COM
First one...

The President is taking aggressive steps to put Americans back to work and create an economy where hard work pays and responsibility is rewarded.

This is the data from Recovery.gov. from October 2011-December 2011 AND there is nothing past this in their system...likely on purpose.

I'd say that this is likely tainted from the source, AND...why was there an update on this data in March of 2012?...  


I question the "contracts" because they could count about anything in that category.  Also, what were the grants for?  Did they actually create jobs?  Loans?  Did they create jobs?

This is truly interesting!  This is from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.  This chart shoes data that goes from 2002 to 2012.

Why is this statement part of  "The President's Record on Jobs and the Economy"?

For years before the economic crisis, middle-class security had been slipping away. Wages stagnated while health care costs soared.

The Labor Force Statistics chart shows that this above statement is false.


Also, how can he claim the following?

We’ve added back more than 4.1 million private sector jobsand seen 25 straight months of job growth—but there’s more work to do.

The following statement really baffles my mind.  Have we ever seen an actual plan?

When President Obama took office, he both addressed the immediate economic crisis and laid the foundation for a U.S. economy that’s built to last.

What has Obama actually done for the economy?  


Redistribution is under way.  If Obama has his way, you may be looking at the Atlas Shrugged effect on the United States.

The Little Red Hen On Government Regulation.

Once upon a time, there was a little red hen who scratched about the barnyard until she uncovered some grains of wheat.

She called her neighbors and said, "If we plant this wheat, we shall have bread to eat. Who will help me plant it?"

"Not I," said the cow.
"Not I," said the duck.
"Not I," said the pig.
"Not I," said the goose.

"Then I will," said the little red hen, and she did.

The wheat grew tall and ripened into golden grain. "Who will help me reap my wheat?" asked the little red hen.

"Not I," said the duck.
"Out of my classification," said the pig.
"I'd lose my seniority," said the cow.
"I'd lose my unemployment compensation," said the goose.

"Then I will," said the little red hen, and she did.

At last it came time to bake the bread. "Who will help me bake the bread?" asked the little red hen.

"That would be overtime for me," said the cow.
"I'd lose my welfare benefits," said the duck.
"I'm a dropout and never learned how," said the pig.
"If I'm to be the only helper, that's discrimination," said the goose.

"Then I will," said the little red hen.

She baked five loaves and held them up for her neighbors to see. They wanted some and, in fact, demanded a share.

But the little red hen said, "No, I can eat the five loaves."

"Excess profits!" cried the cow.
"Capitalist leech!" screamed the duck.
"I demand equal rights!" yelled the goose.
And the pig just grunted.

And they painted "unfair" picket signs and marched around and around the little red hen, shouting obscenities.

When the government agent came, he said to the little red hen, "You must not be greedy."

"But I earned the bread," said the little red hen.

"Exactly," said the agent. "That is the wonderful free enterprise system. Anyone in the barnyard can earn as much as he wants. But under our modern government regulations, the productive workers must divide their product with the idle."

And they lived happily ever after, including the little red hen, who smiled and clucked, "I am grateful. I am grateful."

But her neighbors wondered why she never again baked any more bread.

The Great Recession. Will Riots Break Out As The Poverty Rate Rises?

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is worried that high U.S. unemployment could lead to the same kind of riots here that have swept through Europe and North Africa.


"You have a lot of kids graduating college, [who] can't find jobs," said Bloomberg, during his weekly radio show on Friday. "That's what happened in Cairo. That's what happened in Madrid. You don't want those kinds of riots here."

That was the mayor's response when asked about the poverty rate, which rose to 15.1% in 2010, its highest level since 1993, according to census data released Tuesday. About 46.2 million people are now living in poverty, 2.6 million more than last year.

"The public is not happy," he said. "The public knows there is something wrong in this country, and there is. The bottom line is that they're upset."

Riots have gripped various countries in European cities, including Athens and London, fueled by young people infuriated by high unemployment and austerity measures, which in some cases has led to looting. High unemployment among youth is also one of the driving forces behind the Arab Spring, as impoverished protestors in North Africa and the Middle East rose up against their heavy-handed governments.

"The damage to a generation that can't find jobs will go on for many, many years," said Bloomberg.

The first is the steepness of the rise in job scarcity during the previous recession in 2001, which rivaled that during the deep downturn of the early 1980s. The second is the failure between 2003 and 2007 of jobs per jobseeker to recover from the 2001 recession...Unemployment increased during the 2001 recession, but it subsequently fell almost to its previous low. In contrast, job openings plummeted—much more sharply than unemployment rose—and then failed to recover.
